Wow!!

Wow!!

What a performance and result from us this evening. Beating our nearest rivals by 5 goals to 0, sending out a firm message to everyone that the crows mean business this season!!

Not to get too carried away. At the end of the day it’s just 3 points but nevertheless a very positive step forward towards our title winning ambitions.

I’m sure Farnborough will go away licking their wounds but determined to stay with us. It’s a big lead but no one is looking any further forward than the next game where we will have to be equally “At it” like we were tonight.

At this time I would like to spare a thought to the lads I left out tonight, very harsh considering we had previously kept a clean sheet and secured a 2-0 win against a resolute Fleet team. As I said to the boys left out, I had an opportunity to bring in “Fresher” legs and on this occasion it worked out. No reflection on their own performances but with such a strong squad I have the luxury of implementing it with so many games in January that are ALL important!!

I can’t particularly pick anyone for special praise the whole squad were heroes tonight and we can all reflect on a good nights work.

Only 26 games played though, just under half a season still to go so no let up. We have our game in hand to play on Tuesday and now concentration is centred on Saturday and beyond.

We will be in on Thursday, training as normal, a practice match v our youth team to give some of the lads some game time and also to encourage our excellent youth set up run by Danny Gibson.

So the message to the boys, well done, get our feet firmly back onto the ground and go again, no let up, no sloppy performances. Treat every match with the correct attitude needed and believe that we are a good outfit!

Cheers,
SC
