Royston Town Vets faced still opposition in the form of Bar Hill Vets in a Cambs F.A. Vets League 1 fixture on Sunday. Thanks to the College groundsman (and former Crow) Chris Tovey, the game was played at St Catharine’s College, Cambridge as the Garden Walk pitch was deemed unplayable.

Town found themselves trailing 0-4 in a first half best quickly forgotten.

Thanks to a much improved performance in the second half, Town scored twice without reply – the first an excellent shot by Chris Geldart and the second a well-struck penalty by player-manager Stuart Snowden. Town continued to have the lion’s share of possession but were unable to close the gap any further.
