Royston Town Football Club is much more than what happens on the pitch every Saturday.

Across the Club from our Men’s and Women’s teams to our Reserves and U18s, every match or community event is made possible by an incredible team of volunteers who generously give their time, skills and passion to the club.

As one of Hertfordshire’s oldest football clubs, we’re proud of what we’ve built together – but keeping Garden Walk running and continuing to improve our facilities simply wouldn’t be possible without our volunteers, and there is always plenty to do. Whether it’s helping prepare the ground for matchday, supporting events, assisting with maintenance, welcoming supporters through the turnstiles, taking photographs, creating content, helping with administration or lending your professional skills, every contribution makes a real difference.

You don’t need to be a football expert, and you don’t need to commit every weekend.

Even a few hours each month can have a huge impact.

Whether you’re retired, a student looking to gain experience, a supporter wanting to help your club, or simply someone who enjoys being part of a community, we’d love to hear from you.

We’re looking for people who can help with:
• Matchday operations, including Stewarding
• Ground and facility maintenance
• Groundskeeping and gardening
• Photography and videography
• Social media and content creation
• Event planning and fundraising
• Administration and behind-the-scenes support
• General DIY, trade or professional skills

Volunteering at Royston Town is about more than giving up your time – it’s about being part of something bigger. It’s about meeting people, making new friends and playing your part in a club that has been at the heart of our community for generations. Whether you’re helping on a matchday, working behind the scenes, or simply lending a hand when you can, every contribution matters. Together, we can make Royston Town stronger — and you can be part of it.

And, as a thank you for your support, volunteers receive free entry to Royston Town home matches.

As the saying goes…

Football is only 90 minutes. A football club is every day of the week.

If you’d like to play your part in the next chapter of Royston Town FC, we’d love to welcome you to the team behind the team.
