The Club can confirm that Head of Recruitment, Finlay Johnson, will be leaving his role at the end of the season to take up a position as Head of Recruitment with a National League club.

Finlay has played an important role during his time with us, working tirelessly behind the scenes to support the Club’s recruitment strategy and ensure we have remained competitive within our means. His commitment and attention to detail have been key to identifying players who fit both the profile and the required standards.

“I’d like to place on record my thanks to Finlay for everything he has done for the Club. On a personal level, he’s someone I’ve come to call a friend, and professionally, he has always given everything to the role.

Recruitment at this level isn’t easy, particularly within the constraints we work under, but Finlay has consistently worked hard to find the right solutions for us. His efforts have been a big part of what we’ve been able to achieve over the past few seasons, and he leaves with our full support and best wishes for the next step in his career.”

The Club has decided to announce Finlay’s departure at this stage as we begin the process of identifying his successor. The Head of Recruitment role is a key position within the Club’s structure, and we are keen to appoint as soon as possible to be fully prepared for the summer recruitment window and to ensure we are in the strongest possible position to meet our targets.
