Rover maintained their 100% winning start with a good away win to a strong Clifton team.

Both teams were organised and it would need a good performance to win the match. 

The first half was an even 30 mins, with both teams defence being strong and soaking up the attacking play. Rovers captain Michael won the ball and made a driving run at the Clifton defence. He then played a well timed ball through to Lucas who slotted pass the advancing keeper. One nil to Rovers.

 

The second half began with Rovers now showing their class, passing the ball well and creating chances. Lucas got his second with a good finish and completed his hat- trick after Harry won the ball in midfield who then found Dan, he played a good pass into Lucas who calmly finished. Rovers tail was up and they soon got their fourth. George cleared the ball from defence into the path of Dan, who used his pace to go through and score with a good shot.
