Royston and Barwell played out a hard fought draw as persistent rain made for tough conditions.
The Crows had a dream start as Joe Iaciofano was fouled in the box by Rashaan Frances, although contact seemed to be fairly minimal. Iaciofano dusted himself down and confidently buried the spot kick, sending away keeper Finn Osborn the wrong way.
Despite the conditions The Canaries moved the ball around well and from one well constructed move Anthony Dwyer skewed a shot wide when he really should have done better.
The Crows had a great chance to double their lead in the 23rd minute as Archie Locke put in a low cross, however with the goal at his mercy from 3 yards out Iaciofano didn’t connect properly and the ball ended up going wide of the post.
The second half saw Barwell take control of the game as Royston dropped deeper and struggled to keep good possession. It came as no great surprise when the away side equalised, Tyrell Waite steering a header beyond Louis Chadwick following a good delivery from Jevin Seaton.
Indeed it was Seaton who could have proved to be the hero, but after a mad goalmouth scramble in the second minute of injury time his shot went the wrong side of the post and both sides had to settle for a point.
