A Good ‘Bounce Back’ Win

Apologies for the lack of a blog after the Kings Lynn game. Mainly due to the fact my knee was hanging off and that I got back in the early hours.

To summarise the Kings Lynn match it certainly was a game of two halves. In my opinion we were clearly the more dominant team in the first half. Unfortunately whilst in the ascendancy we didn’t score and that cost us dear in the 2nd half.

We went 1-0 down and tried to get back into the match by throwing Big Muzz up top. That was fine but losing his immense strength at the back cost us and to be fair to Kings Lynn they took their chances well to give them a resounding win.

Onto today’s game. The general message from the staff was to “bounce back” and that they did in an abundance. Didn’t quite work out as planned with us yet again having a good first half but this time receiving a “Sucker punch” near the end of the half.

1-0 at half time. Disappointing but a response needed and boy did the lads do that.

Inside 30 seconds we were level.

It was a massive boost to us and the lads carried it on to eventually get into the lead by a Scott Bridges goal. Thoroughly deserved against a very competitive Redditch team.

Onto Tuesday, another League match against local rivals Biggleswade Town. Great to hopefully carry our good form on although down in numbers we want to compete and I’m sure we will.

Cheers,
SC
