Fantastic Performance

Just got home from our FA Trophy tie against Hampton & Richmond and I can’t wait to share my satisfaction at the result.

A massive well done to the whole squad today and recently.

To go into Hampton’s “Back yard” and limit them to as few goal scoring opportunities as we did was excellent. Not only that but create a few of our own, in my opinion was fantastic!

At this point I would like to single out Chris Watters for special praise! We had originally set a game plan to play our opponents but received a match report not totally in line with our plan. I decided to go a certain way which was contrary to Chris’s thoughts.

Chris took this change of mind on the chin and set us up accordingly. Great character shown from him, no sulks, no negative vibe just did his job superbly!

Onto a replay. Probably a game we could do without as to our league progression but I love that this group give everything game in, game out regardless of competition.

Because we have played equal amounts of games in the League compared to our nearest rivals I don’t believe it’s a problem striving to progress in cups!

The League is always going to be a priority but not only for the club but these lads self-belief we go for the win Tuesday.

Come down, hopefully we can give everyone a good evening’s football!

Cheers,
SC
