Great Performance Today

The lads did us proud today, going up against a strong Conference South team and not only matching them but with a bit more good fortune could have nicked it.

Braintree will definitely know they have been in a game and will have to be at it to compete with us come the replay on Tuesday.

That said so will we because, we will be taking nothing for granted. They are extremely good going forward and have beaten some great teams recently so all to play for for both concerned.

Too many good performances to single out any one player for praise, they all rose to the challenge and competed admirably.

For me it was also a good psychological boost to encourage the belief we can do well this year, combined with last Tuesday’s win against King’s Lynn we must take heart that we are good enough both individually and collectively.

Great to see so many “Crows” supporters there today, also that was very encouraging for all the players.

A few injuries to contend with. Sam Ives, Lee Chappell were not quite ready for today’s match but with the extra couple of days could be up for selection. Josh Castiglione picked up yet another knock so could be a doubt. We will have to see come Tuesday but other than that slight niggles, not to stop most being right for Tuesday.

Well done boys. Very pleased!!

Cheers,
SC
