Thoughts With Joe De La Salle & His Brother

Hello.

Before I comment on our game on Saturday can I say on behalf of the staff and players, wishing Joe De La Salle and his brother a full and speedy recovery from their very serious car accident that happened last Tuesday.

Our thoughts and best wishes are with you both.

On to the game. A victory by a Ryan Towner strike from just inside the box on the hour mark. Not a great performance from us but considering the awful pitch conditions for both teams, all the players deserve plaudits for attempting to play their football.

Full marks to Hanwell Town and their ground staff for getting the match on but as said it was never going to be a classic. A win is a win and although all our nearest rivals won and scored plenty, we are still on a good run and need to keep it going.

Egham next on Tuesday. I went over last Tuesday to watch their win over Kings Langley and they are a good team! You can see why they are up there but I believe we can push them all the way, hopefully starting Tuesday!

It’s really tight up at the top now and a win from us against Egham would make it even tighter. This year it seems that it will go all the way to the end of the season to decide the title winner. We need to stay in there and believe. There’s no reason why we can’t and recent events surrounding Della should give us the thought of doing it for him!!

Cheers,
SC
