TOM’S WEEKEND PREVIEW – Dec 16th & 17th

Hi and welcome to this weekend’s preview with Royston Town FC and Royston Town Women.


First up Royston Town FC host Long Eaton United, our visitors travel from Derbyshire with the town being on the border of Nottinghamshire just like Royston with the town being in Hertfordshire and being a border town of Cambridgeshire. Our first win of the season was against Long Eaton United with a 3-1 win with goals from Florian Tsagium, Adam Murray and  Juwon Akintunde while Long Eaton United picked up their first win of the season against fellow strugglers Berkhamsted last Saturday.

Parking is limited and the nearest car park is the Town Hall car park postcode SG8 7XB, prices are:
75p for an hour / 85p for 2 hours / £1.15 for 3 hours / £3.60 for more than 3 hours.
After 3pm parking is free.
Clubhouse and hot food open to all and accepts both cash and card.

 

There will also be a presentation of an award for our club president and former player Alan Barlow who has been at the club for 49 years and counting. He will be presented with a Lifetime Achievement award from the Herts Sports Partnership at 2pm in the clubhouse tomorrow. So get down and applaud Alan Barlow for his selflessness.

 

Last up is Royston Town Women as they travel to St Albans City Women in the Eastern Region Women’s Football League Cup on Sunday after last Sunday’s game was postponed due to weather. We are looking to get a step closer to some silverware. Kick off is at 2pm rather than a 1:30pm kick off.
