TOM’S WEEKEND PREVIEW – Dec 9th & 10th

Hi and welcome to this weekend’s preview with Royston Town FC , Royston Town Women and Royston Town U23’s.

First up Royston Town FC travel once again to Worcestershire to take on Alvechurch FC with a 3pm kick off. Alvechurch’s nickname is the Church with the last syllable of the town being Church and it also being called “Ælfgyth’s Church” back from the 8th century when Ælfgyth founded a medieval church on the site of St Laurence Church. Both clubs will be looking for a win as we approach the halfway stage of the season. Please note there will be a 9AM PITCH INSPECTION.

Next up is Royston Town Women who take a break from league action as they are on the road again to last fortnight’s opponents St Albans City Women in the Eastern Region Women’s Football League Cup on Sunday. We won 2-0 there as Emma Slater scored a brace to bring home three points and we are also hoping to get another win to get another step closer to some silverware. PLEASE BE AWARE IT IS A 1:30PM KICK OFF.

Last up is Royston Town U23’s and like the Women they take a break from league action when they host Bishop’s Stortford Swifts in the Hertfordshire Senior Centenary Trophy Quarter Final. Royston Town U23’s will be looking for another win after an emphatic 8-0 win from Tuesday night.
