TOM’S WEEKEND PREVIEW – Nov 4th & 5th

Hi and welcome to this weekend’s preview with Royston Town FC, Royston Town Women and Royston Town U23’s


First up Royston Town FC travel to Kettering Town FC. Kettering were one of the clubs alongside AFC Telford United and Leamington who were relegated from the National League North last season.

Next up are Royston Town Women who have a league break and host fellow league side King’s Lynn Town Women in the League Cup. Last season both Royston and King’s Lynn reached the Quarter Finals with Royston losing to runners-up Stevenage 4-2 while King’s Lynn lost 7-0 to AFC Sudbury.

Last up is Royston Town U23’s who finally are back at home and host Winslow United.  Winslow were in the same league as Royston Town first team back in the 2008/09 season, with eight goals for Royston in the last two league meetings with Craig Hammond scoring seven of them, a hat trick at home and four away and Ryan Lockett scoring the other in the away fixture. Also we beat them 2-0 at home in the third round of the Division One Cup also in the 2008/09 with Aaron Welch and Ricky Young which was on the road to our division one cup victory.
