LAUNCHING: Royston Town FC in the Community

Royston Town Football Club are delighted to announce that we have set up a Community Programme.  Royston Town FC in the Community will mainly focus on three key areas; School Sport, Community Activities and Youth Development.

We have recently launched our Summer Holiday Fun Football Courses which will take place every week during the Summer Holidays for both boys and girls aged 4-15.

Along with the Holiday Courses, we are excited to announce our Female Development Centre that will be starting in September 2018. This is a great opportunity for all female footballers in the local area to further progress their footballing skills.

This is just the start of a very exciting period for us where we will be creating sporting opportunities for all children in the local community.

Steve Jackson, Chairman of Royston Town FC had this to say about the launch:

“It has always been my ambition to make Royston Town Football Club a focal point for the town and something to be proud of and whilst we have made incredible progress on the field with the Club competing at the highest level it has ever seen, we now want our interaction with the community outside of football circles to match that progression.

Apart from the success of the Mens teams, we have also invested in developing Ladies football and now have two successful senior sides, we also work very closely with Royston Town Youth who have  a growing number of Youth sides but our connection with children outside of football has been very limited.

Whilst football will always be our main focus our intention is to interact with the town’s youngsters and encourage every child to take up sport or physical activity in one form or another. As parents and responsible adults we owe this to our children and Royston Town FC would like to play its part in making that happen.”.
