Hemingford Vets 1 Royston Town Vets 5

Royston Town Vets completed a comfortable 5-1 win in a friendly game against Hemingford Vets on Sunday.

Town were without player-manager Stuart Snowden, who had succumbed to a bout of food poisoning.

The hosts scored early in the game but Steve McGee equalised for Town shortly after and then centre-back Laurence Revell scored his first of the season with a bullet header from a corner. Lee Wilkinson added number three and McGee completed his hat-trick with two more well-taken goals.

Next Sunday Town are scheduled to be away to Eaton Socon Vets in Cambs League 1.
