Royston were caught in possessions and paid the price when a home forward put his side in front.Ashford started to dominate the game and only some resourceful defending from MCDEVITT and fine goalkeeping from HOWARD kept the Crows in the game.

Just before half time DAVID CAIN showed his commitment to the cause by winning a header against two opposition players which allowed O'BRIEN to levell the scores and the second attempt .

Royston made some changes to their line up for the 2nd half which changed the course of the game as O'BRIEN headed home from a corner and the lead was further extended by the returning MICHAEL DEBNAM with a fine powerful header and moments later a glancing header extended from the same player sealed the points.

The hard working LIAM MCDEVITT sealed an impressive personal display with a diving header at the far post.

ADAM SMITH gave an insight into the thinking for the 2nd half display "We wanted to control the crucial middle of the park area and introducing Debs and Roger gave us a much needed boost".

Next week sees the Crows entertain Northwood at Garden Walk.
