Another excellent performance from Paul Attfield's side and with other results favourable on the day The Crows now sit eleven points clear at the top of the table wth a game in hand over their closest rivals Leverstock Green.
The Royston manager stuck with the same starting team that thrashed Hertford Town last weekend, a decision backed up by the players who gave another hugely energetic and efficient showing.
From the offset the Royston team put Broxbourne firmly on the back foot with the excellent playing surface clearly to the visitor's liking. The player movement and crisp passing was maintained for long periods of the game.
It took a while for clear chances to be created. A couple of early forages expecially down the Royston right hand side didn't quite come too fruitition although a couple of crosses flashed across the face of goal with no players alert enough to convert. At the other end a rare counter attack caught Royston offguard and the left winger cut into the area but denied buy a superb last ditch tackle from Jason Beck.
Royston continued to probe and were rewarded on 20 minutes when Arin Fehmi's left wing cross was half cleared to edge of the box where Carl Edwards superbly volleyed low past the keeper giving him no chance, his first goal of the season.
Jack Brashaw was unlucky not to extend the lead when his 20 yard effort was supebly saved low down but a second goal arried ten minutes before halt time. a fine team move was worked left to right with Kaan Fehmi getting himself into a great position to run at the last defender whose trip was punished with a penlaty with Fehmi converting yet again from the spot.
The rest of the half was pretty uneventful but Royston came out all guns blazing and in the opening fifteen minutes of the half had more than enough chances to completely kill the game off. In the opening five minutes of the half Carl Edwards had a long range lobbed effort just claimed under the crossbar, Matt Standen had a close range effort cleared off the line and Tom Malins was unlucky to see his curling twenty yarder smack the face of the crossbar. From the next few attacks Royston persistently carved open the home side with the Broxbourne keeper makng no fewer than four top drawer saves.
The hosts changed the shape of their team which helped their cause and Royston's misfortunes in front of the home goal at this stage left the game firmly in the balance. Now playing three players up front and committing more in attack Royston had to be on their guard but Endacott, Beck, McGrandles and Arin Fehmi were largely outstanding. Two longer ranged shots did cause some concern with one whistlng just past an upright and another superbly tipped onto a post by Will Norris.
Royston needed a third goal and continued to look dangerous on the counter attack. The decisive third goal came fifteen from time, Rick Young racing onto a through ball and scrambling the ball over the line after his initial effort had been blocked by the keeper.
Having not conceded a goal for over 500 minutes of league football that stat came to an end with ten minutes remaining when a low right wing cross was turned home by Dean Williams from close range.
The Crows nearly added another goal just after Broxbourne's consolation when Ryan Lockett thrashed an angled 16 yard effort against a post but once again Royston were more than good value for this win
