Royston Town Vets were beaten by the odd goal in a high scoring game against Glaxo Vets at Allenbury, Ware.

Town found it difficult to get their passing game going on a small pitch and found themselves two goals down after 10 minutes. Towards the end of the first half they created some good openings but failed to hit the target.

There was a major shift of momentum at the start of the second half when Town netted three times inside 15 minutes. The first came from a Stuart Snowden penalty, the second was neatly put away by Kevin Barthrop and John Moulding scored with a fierce right-foot shot to give Town the lead.

The hosts then hit back to equalise and scored their fourth and the winner with 10 minutes left.
