Royston Town Vets resumed their season following a 6-week break with a hard fought 0-0 draw at Hemingford – somewhat surprisingly because the fixture between the two sides at Garden Walk in September had produced 11 goals. A pitch that started out frosty and then turned muddy was not conducive to good football.

Scoring opportunities were at a premium with both defences dominating possession. Dicky Harris and Magic came closest to putting Town ahead mid-way through the first half but their efforts were either saved or missed the target.

In the second half, 'keeper Simon Dobson made one brilliant diving save low to his left to prevent the hosts opening their account.

A draw was considered a fair result by all.
