It was a case of déjà vu for Scott Bridges as he repeated his first minute goal against St Ives on Tuesday with a bullet header from a Stuart Bridges corner in Royston's first attack in the opening seconds.

A shell-shocked Hitchin clawed their way back into the game but were given a mountain to climb when Royston scored a second with the best move of the game in the 20th minute. After great hold up play by Ingrey, the ball was rolled back to Bradshaw to deliver a pin point cross onto the diving head of Gary Hart.

Hitchin were reduced to ten men when they had a player sent off for denying a goal scoring opportunity. pulling back Ingrey when he was through on goal. Royston dominated the remainder of the first half and should have put the game out of reach but Lockett's low shot was well saved by the Hitchin keeper.

Despite being a man down Hitchin competed well in the second half and pulled a goal back from the penalty spot but the Crows held on for a comfortable victory and denied Hitchin any further clear cut chances.

The Crows will face Conference South side Bishop's Stortford in the Final.
