As expected the Ressies progressed into the next round with this thorough and comprehensive victory.

Again, as expected it was from the boot of the free scoring LEE BATES from which the Ressies took the lead on 10 minutes and BATES fired his and the team's 2nd just 8 minutes later.

The home side's traditional free flowing game had the St Peters defence completely baffled and it came as no surprise when XANIEL DOKU increased the lead just before the ½ time whistle.

With the game effectively over as a contest Royston shuffled their pack and while this happened the visitors grabbed a goal and then enjoyed a 15 minute spell of play before The Town started their 2nd shift.

JORDEN GIBSON in the Royston launched a quick attack and the up and coming RHYS HOENESS tormented the full back before placing the ball at the feet of DOKU to collect his 2nd goal.The same 2 players combined for DOKU to collect his hatrick before the irrepressible BATES completed the rout.

BATES commented after the game " When you have players like Rhys and JB, you will always have chances to score".
