An under-strength Town Vets side were second best to a powerful CUP Vets team in the Cambs Vets Invitation League Division 1 on Sunday at Garden Walk.

Injuries, sickness, holidays and suspension deprived Town of the services of 6 regulars and whilst replacements tried their best they were no match for CUP who scored twice in the first half and again late in the game.

Town did create one chance in the first half when Nejat Kocak received the ball in space in the 18-yard area but he delayed his shot and the ball was cleared. Another opportunity in the second half was missed by Peter Leete as he sliced his shot wide.
