Town Vets completed their season with a well-earned 4-2 win over Walkern Vets at Garden Walk on Sunday.

Both defences proved difficult to break down in the first half but after 30 minutes Kevin Barthrop split the visitors' defence with a through ball for Magic to run on to and lob the advancing 'keeper to put Town ahead.

Simon Dobson dived to push a good effort from Walkern for a corner but could not prevent the visitors from equalising shortly after.

The game opened up in the second half and a spectacular effort from central defender Laurence Revell put Town ahead in the 70th minute when he scored with a fine right-foot shot from 30 yards that soared over the 'keeper's head into the net. Stuart Snowden, extended Town's lead with a conversion from close range but the visitors pulled a goal back when a deflected shot beat Dobson.

Revell then had another shot that crashed against the Walkern crossbar and Snowden was in the right spot to head the rebound in for the final score of the game.
