Royston Town Youth Rovers v Baldock Town Youth

Royston Crow Youth Football League U12 9v9 Division 1

Won 8-2

Royston Scorers

Jack 3, Lucas 3, Kian 2

Rovers first game for two months saw them register an emphatic victory over Baldock Town.

Royston were on the attack from the whistle, creating chances and dominating the play. Dan T passed the ball through to Jack who fired a shot which beat the Baldock keeper. Dan T also set up the second goal, battling for the ball, which he fed to Lucas who doubled Rovers lead. Soon after Lucas got his second, Kian gritted determination kept the ball, passed to Dan T who again played in Lucas who hit a good shot into the net. Rovers were in complete control, when Lucas took on the Baldock defence, going around the advancing team and calmly slotting home for is hat trick. Rovers were awarded a free-kick which Noah struck well, the keeper saved but the ball fell to Dan T whose shot  was also saved, but the ball then fell to Jack who hit a screamer which gave him his second of the game. Baldock pulled a goal back before half time, but Rovers went in 5 1 to the good.

Rovers started the second half on the attack again, with Jack completely his hat trick following a quick long throw-in by Kian, with a good finish. Rovers were in complete control and Kian got his first goal of the game hitting a curling shot into the net. This was followed shortly after by another fantastic finish by Kian from outside the box. Baldock got their second near the end of the game, but was little comfort as the three points were already in the onion bag.

A great win for the boys.
