Our U/18s backed up their excellent win last week versus Deeping Rangers with a solid 3-1 victory against Ramsey Town to make it two wins from two. This game was never as entertaining or intense as last week's one but the attitude and work rate of the players was very good in what was quite a tight game.

Ramsey had the best of the opening stages with a couple of efforts just clearing the crossbar and one 25 yard free kick clipping the top of the crossbar.

Amazingly all four goals in the game came in a five minute period mid way through the half .

The Young Crows had offered little in attack but scored with their first two chances within a minute of each other. Both Danny McGovern and Ross Maddox breaking clear of the back line to convert one on one chances in the 18th and 19th minutes.

Ramsey reduced the deficit on 21 minutes with their own well taken one on one chance before The Crows won a corner with their next attack a minute later and Perri Gentry scrambled the ball into the net at the far post.

To be fair the rest of the game was very even and intense but with many mistakes from both teams. Both Alfie Kemplen and the visiting keeper made a couple of good saves each but the pace of the game continued until the very end with The Crows going into next week's FA Youth Cup game with Chelmsford City in good form.
