The Crows Under 18s produced a strong second half performance and the final scoreline was probably a fair reflection of the game. The heavy pitch was tough going for the players with Royston continually trying to pass their way into the attacking third, but were often hampered by the surface. When they became more direct they looked more dangerous with the pace of Owen Bentley and Daniel Bond causing problems. Bond had one goal disallowed for offside before he opened the scoring on 23 minutes racing onto Mitchell Wooding's diagonal through ball to score.

At the other end Royston's new talented 15 year old keeper Harry Reynolds was relatively untroubled and well protected by a good defensive performance Royston changed their formation at half time and played a longer ball game in a half they territorially dominated. Good chances were created and a second goal arrived on 62 minutes. A good free kick delivery caused problems and although Elliott Burr's close range volley was superbly saved Bond followed up to fire high into the net from a tight angle.

Toby Jackson and Barnaby Jordan were both introduced to the game from the Under 16s for their Under 18 debuts and both did well in the remaining time. The scoring was then completed on 80 minutes by Matt Brennan who outpaced the home defence to clip over the advancing keeper. A good performance from the under 18s on a difficult pitch after a lengthy lay off . They remain in mid table and next week travel to Blackstones who are one place immediately above them in the league table.
