A Cold, windy day for our short trip away to Buntingford Cougars Blues.

A promising start for Royston, with an early goal from the Crows.  A good pass from Charlie to Josh then from Josh to Danny who volleyed it into the back of the net. 0-1 to Royston.

Wilko had a couple of attempts at goal, even managing to get round the keeper but good defending from blues prevented the ball going over the goal line.

Our defence got caught out for not stopping the bounce but a great clearance off the line from Zack prevented the Blues from scoring.

Blues had a good spell and were unlucky not to score on a couple of occasions, good keeping from Brad and defending from Lewis R & Lewis M helped keep a clean sheet.

Our second goal came from a great individual piece from Dicko (even with his laces undone) with a shot low and hard into the bottom right hand corner.  0-2 to Royston.

With second half underway, Royston kept Blues’ keeper busy with more shots at goal; Danny and Josh had shots which hit the post and Charlie and Josh had shots just wide of the post.

Goal three came from a pass from Dicko to Dan who lobbed it high into the back of the net.   0-3 to Royston.

Goal four came when the keeper saved a shot but couldn’t keep hold of the ball. Good follow-up and perseverance from Chris took control of the ball and tapped it home.   0-4 to Royston.

A great strike from Chris saw our fifth goal from Crows.  0-5 to Royston.

Some good work from Lewis R saw him awarded man of the match which was well deserved.

Although at times a messy game to watch, Crows had more possession of the game.  There was some good passing in midfield and good defending leaving little for Brad to do.

A good three points, keeping us at the top of the table.  More importantly, our first clean sheet of the season.
