Rovers had to work hard to win their first league match of the season away to Buntingford.

The game began with Cougars creating chances and putting pressure on the Rovers defence and within 10 mins they took the lead with a good finish. Rovers responded well and began to make chances of their own. Kian took a good throw in which Lucas controlled and passed to Ollie  whose wicked shot beat the keeper. One all. Rovers upped their game. Lucas was fouled outside the area and Noah took the resulting free-kick which the keeper saved. Noah soon after had a shot on goal which hit the bar. Half time one all. 

The second half start with Rovers playing the better football. George played the ball out of defence into the path of Corey, who then took on the Cougars defence and fired an unstoppable shot into the net. Rovers were playing the better football and were starting to create more chances. Lucas had a shot which went around the post, he got his just reward soon after with a shot which curled around the keeper. Three one to Rovers and solid start to the season.
