Diamonds played a side three places above them in the league on Sunday but showed no sign of respect for the higher side and took the game to them from the start.
It soon showed though that there was going to be a tough match on a boggy field and playing with seven aside goals it was never going to be a high score.
Arrowheads took a while to get going but once they started to play, Diamonds showed a little bit of nerves after they had several attacks with no end result.
Arrowheads were kept for periods in there own half but on there attacks looked strong and scored five minutes before half time with a well struck goal that Bradley had no chance of saving.
Diamonds started the second half strongly and had shots from Tom, Jack D, Chris, Alex, Zac and Jack W either saved, blocked or go wide before Jack D hit the back of the net from a pass by Jack W.
There was some great passing from all over the pitch which is very pleasing as this side grows in confidence. Also good to see was stopping the long ball without bounce which Arrowheads resorted to on many occasions. The tough second half saw breaks in the game from players taking knocks on both teams including Bradley saving bravely at the feet from an oncoming forward resulting in a kick to the head that took several minutes of seeing stars. Another strong performance from defence with Will getting back to help Toby, Lewis and Joseph at times having to hold on alone while the rest pushed forward for the winner which did not come. A draw probably being a fair result although a win would not have flattered. Well done to all.
