On a beautiful bright sunny February morning on the Heath with no wind. (That doesn't happen very often). A 12 o'clock kick off and playing another local side Buntingford Cougars.

The start went well the same as last week against Celtic and after 5 min's Tom laid of a ball for Dicko who scored and celebrated by running over to me with a big smile which is a bit of a joke between us. 1-0.Nice one.
Two min's later Joseph cracked a shot from some distance which was saved, but Diamonds had set out their stall and it was one of attack. Bradley in goal didn't have a lot to do early on but his distribution and calling have improved no end in recent weeks and today was no exception.

Wilko scored on 12 min's with what was by his own admission a cross that the keeper fumbled into his own net. They all count. 2-0.

Buntingford's keeper knocking long balls down the pitch got one through and Diamonds failed to clear this one and one of their players sent a shot low which went under Bradley. 2-1

Toby now stepping up to take corners floated in a perfect corner from the right and Tom volleyed it in watching the ball onto his foot at waist height 3-1.

Buntingford now had resorted to the long ball from their keeper and Diamonds most of the time were controlling the ball and going straight back on the attack and could have scored 3 or 4 more before half time but Diamonds were shooting from tight angles and distance when passing would have been a better option.

3-1 at half time very pleasing and my only problem was who to take off to bring on the subs as every one has had a good half.

Will came on as sweeper and got stuck straight in doing some good passing and tackling.

Tom got the ball then passed to Dicko who slid the ball to Wilko, he shot across the goal, the ball hit the post and as it was going across the line the defender tried to clear but it still went in 4-1.

Chris was then on the score sheet as the keeper failed to hold a cross and the ball was whacked into the back of the net, right time right place 5-1.

Another long clearance from the keeper in Buntingfords goal and a touch on saw a shot on goal, Bradley dived down low with the ball covered and it hit a bobble and bounced over him and into the net. One of those you cant account for 5-2.

From the restart Tom to Dicko who got tackled but was having non of it he got the ball back and passed to Wilko who went on a run passed two and drove the ball into the back of the net 6-2.

Buntingford had a couple of good chances but Bradley made a fine save and came out to smother another attack.

To finish off Chris broke through and had a great shot that looked in all the way but Wilko made sure and tapped it passed the keeper 7-2

Again great defending today from Zac, Toby(Capt), Joseph, Lewis, Will (sub), Lathan (sub) ,made it possible for the midfield to play attacking football with confidence the back was safe.

Chris, Dicko and Wilko cut open Buntingford for much of the game and Tom had his best game of the season so far at centre forward and awarded man of the match.
