Royston town Diamonds played 11 aside for the first time on Sunday in friendly against Sawbridgeworth.

They started well with Joseph opening the score with a great strike, Sawbridgeworth pulled one back just before half time.

Diamonds started strong in the second half and went ahead again with a well taken goal from Thomas, Sawbridgeworth didn’t give up and were unlucky not to have scored with a couple of close misses and a great save from Bradley which kept Diamonds in the game.

Jack D scored the third to finish the game.

Lathan was awarded man of the match for playing his first full game without putting a foot wrong.
