Rovers played good football to ensure they took all three points at home to a strong Austen Arrowheads team.

 

The first half was an evenly played 30 mins with both teams defending well and creating chances. Just before the end of the half Austen grabbed a goal, giving them the edge going into the second half.

 

A rousing team talk from the manager and coach inspired the boys to up their game and quickly got themselves back into the match. Noah O'Sullivan won the ball and played it into the path of the advancing Lucas Edey who hit the back of the net. One all and game on. Five minutes later Rovers added their second. Captain Micheal Catt went on a run ending with a powerful shot which the goalkeeper saved, but Edey followed up with a good finish 2-1 Rovers. Soon after it was 3 1, Ben Clark's pass found Edey who completed his hat trick. Rovers were dominating the game, another good through ball from O'Sullivan gave Edey his chance for number four and he finished with great aplomb. 

The boys all played well and showed good grit and determination to turn the game around and win well.
