Rovers made it 4 wins on the trot with a home win against BSFC Athletic.

 

The game began with Rovers creating lots of good chances and dominating play but they were unable to find the back of the net.  As the half continued Athletic became more involved and started carving out chances of their own. With both teams evenly matched Athletic took a chance and scored just before the break. HT 0-1. This was shock and the boys needed to dig deep. 

 

Rovers began the second half determined and focused. They were rewarded with an early equaliser, Kian whipped in a corner and Captain Michael climbed the highest and connected with a firm header. One all and game on. 

 

Lucas started the next attack taking on the Athletic team, his shot was saved but only into the path of the advancing Kian who struck a good shot into the back of the net. Rovers were now in charge and were creating more chances. Noah provided a good corner which struck the hand of an Athletic player. Penalty Rovers. Noah stepped up but saw his shot well saved by the keeper, fortunately for Rovers straight to the feet of Jake who hit a blistering shot from close range. Three one to Rovers. Not their best performance but job done and another three points to keep them in second place in the league.
