A throw in from Kian was meet with a firm and well placed header by JJ into the path of Cory who fired into the net. Half time 1- 2 to Rovers.
The second half began with both teams playing good football and defending well. Blacksox pounced on a misplaced pass and took their chance to pull level. Rovers again had to up their game. There was lots of support and encouragement from the coaches and parents to lift the boys. Rovers got their just rewards when Cory played a lovely pass into Lucas, who with quick feet made himself a bit of space to fire in the winner.
