A lovely, spring morning for our Mother’s Day away match against Stevenage Colts.

An early goal by David saw Crows 1-0 up in the first 10 minutes.  Colts 0-1 Crows.

Goal number two came shortly after, Crows were awarded a corner and Jack N headed the ball into the back of the net.  Colts 0-2 Crows.

Crows were unlucky not to go further ahead as they had several attempts at goal; Chris had two shots saved by the keeper and one attempt going just wide of the post, another strike this time by George saw the ball just skimming above the crossbar.

Colts did manage to break through Crows defence and attempted a shot at goal but was comfortably saved by James.

Goal three came just before half time when Dicko crossed the ball to Danny who fired it into goal.  Colts 0-3 Crows.

Second half underway and both Wilko and Danny had attempts at goal only to be denied by the keeper.

Goal four came after a good run from Danny who passed to Jake to tap in to goal. Colts 0-4 Royston.

Goal five came from a great strike from Josh which saw the ball slip through the keeper’s fingers. Colts 0-5 Royston

Crows were in complete control of the game and were hungry for more goals.  A great pass from Lewis in his own half across to Danny who passed it to Chris for him to slot it in in the back of the net.   Colts 0-6 Royston.

Goal seven came from one of our defenders Toby.  Josh crossed the ball to Toby who took a shot at goal and the ball crawled under the keeper.  Colts 0-7 Crows.

Toby nearly made it a second goal within two minutes with a blast at goal that unfortunately hit the post.

A great individual run by Chris the length of the pitch saw him rewarded with a superb goal beating the keeper.  Colts 0-8 Crows.

A great team effort by all players.  Final score Royston win 8-0.   A further three points for Crows to keep them top of the league with maximum points.
