A tougher game this week and a good result against the best side we have played this season so far.

We had 16 fit players with Bradley away Wilko on a rest week and Jamie unavailable.

This is a great improvement as we had to forfeit the last game of last season through players with injuries and only having 14 signed.

It is a bonus to have players with fresh legs rolling on and off the pitch as they get tired and no longer are we losing games in the last ten minutes because we are tired or not fit enough.

All players will be having rest weeks but hopefully there will be enough not available each week that this doesn't have to be too often.

A strong start saw Crows attacking and a ball in had James's head on the end of a cross that just went over the bar.

Several attempts on goal soon came but the ball wouldn't go in but Charlie slid a ball through to David who finished well to calm any nerves.1-0

Chris hit a corker that came off the crossbar and then Charlie headed over.

The defence has said that at times they have been bored of late well they weren't bored today as Lions liked to put the ball over the top and again crows were caught napping at times.

Some good defending kept out the Lions but Crows struggled to stop the bounce but got away with it.

Crows have now played 5 League games and only conceded 5 goals so that is a very good rate of one every game so the next target has to be a clean sheet.

Josh had a shot just wide of the post and Dan did everything but put the ball in the back of the net.

Chris then put the ball away after James had shot and the ball been parried away by the keeper into his path and he was never going to miss that opportunity.

Crows did get caught though with a bit of ball watching and gave Lions the ball and they punished Crows with a goal to open up the game again.2-1

Josh had a shot wide of the post.

A corner then crossed in by Chris glanced off Charlies head into Dickos path and 4-1

Followed by Charlies cross again into Dickos path  5-1

A good all round display if not the prettiest of games, we knew we had been  in for a game and came out on top.
