Royston made it the perfect 10 league wins out of 10 as they beat Buntingford Cougars for the 3rd time this season.
The game began with both teams creating chances, but as the half continued Rovers began to take charge and started to dominate play. On 20 minutes Rovers took a worthy lead, Noah won the ball passed to Corey, who then crossed the ball back to Noah who went round the defence and hit a good shot into the net. Eight minutes later Joe went on a run with the ball, his pace took him to within shooting distance and his well placed shot hit the target. Two Nil Rovers. Two minutes later Cougars pulled a goal back with a great finish. Rovers got their third just before the half time whistle, Corey chested down the ball and unleashed a cracking shot into the goal. Half time 3-1 Rovers.
The second half began with Rovers on top. A good passing move down the right ended up at the feet of Ollie, whose hard shot rattled the crossbar. Captain Michael joined in the scoring. Noah whipped in a great corner which Michael converted into the net. Rovers continued to attack, but were unable to add to their tally. Corey came closes with a stunning strike which hit the crossbar. Rovers performance was full of hard work and good passing. Well Done lads.
