Crows first game after promotion to Division 2 was a Game played against a Spartak side who they had not met before. Spartak had finished last season in the top half of the league so a tough game was expected and the first ten minutes saw the Crows on the back foot.

Spartak indeed scored the first goal and you could be excused for thinking this may be a long afternoon.0-1

but this Crows side have grown over the last season or so and upped their game.

A cross went into the box and was half cleared into the path of Jack N who crashed it into the top corner. 1-1

It was end to end stuff and Spartak then passed their way through a Crow defence  that on a rare occasion got caught. 1-2

James received the ball in the 6 yard box and seemed to take an age but got the ball out of his feet and over the line 2-2

Chris then hit a shot that was fumbled by the keeper and James poached a typical striker goal 3-2 in the lead for the first time and half time.

An even five minutes after half time saw Spartak get the ball on the edge of the box and from nowhere a cracking shot roared into the back of Crows net before anyone moved.

Lewis Mynott now taking corners found George who hammered home and at 4-3 Cracks started to appear in the Spartak spirit.

A free kick on the edge of the box was cleverly floated in by Chris and Wilko headed it on at an awkward height which Dan jumped up to and scissor kicked into the back of the net for a glorious   5th goal.

Another corner from Lewis m was met on the head of Callum and in for 6-3

And to round off a great afternoon Wilko got on the end of a route one clearance from Bradley in goal to head over the keeper then run around him and slot home.

Won 7-3

So the Crows have started the new season as they started the last with a great win. Also scoring 7 goals as they did last season.

The whole side played as a team with Another solid defence from Captain Lewis M, Newcomer Will who has settled straight into the side,Jo who had to leave the field and spend the afternoon in A&E with badly bruised ribs and will be out for a couple of weeks. And Lewis R who made some important tackles and clearances.

Dan and George who stopped everything in the air and grabbed a goal each.

Josh on the right playing his usual laid back poetic game.Chris tearing up the left wing both crossing passing and beating the defence with quality.

Both Jacks giving solid performances and bagging a goal each.

Callum who is growing in stature every game and even scoring with his head.

And James who got his two important goals as striker
