Our first home league game of the season and it was at the Heath with the pitch in excellent condition unlike the weather which was filthy a strong wind with pouring rain. We welcomed Knebworth a team who beat us towards the end of last season and who always make life difficult for us.

We started really brightly and created a couple of decent chances which were both well saved by their excellent keeper. We then lost our way for 15 minutes by rushing passes or making wrong decisions. We made a change and it paid off almost immediately Jack O came on and after collecting the ball spotted the run of Richard his pass tempted there keeper off his line but Richard was determined and got there first poking the ball passed him and into the net. We really started to up the pace and started to play some really neat football and creating chances one of which was cleared for a corner. Jack O sent over a corner which Knebworth failed to clear and as it came out to Alasdair 10 yards out he swivelled before hitting an unstoppable shot into the roof of the net. We really were on top now and another flowing move started by Bradley then Sam ended with a pass to Rhys who left four defenders for dead before passing the ball beyond there keeper for our third, just after that goal the ref blow for half time.

We spoke about not rushing on the ball and keeping it better although we were impressed with there second movement and there passing at times was excellent they were patient and had belief in each other, there talking was much better and we had a good determination about us.

The second half was much more even both teams created but failed to take chances with Ben, Ross and James R who hit he post all unlucky for us, we continued to play some decent football and kept trying to do the right thing which is always pleasing. The final whistle came and we ran out deserved winners against a good team who never take a backward step.

A good three points and another clean sheet and once again the boys who came off the bench showed us why they are all pushing for starting places which can only be healthy as it keeps everyone on there toes.
