After a two week lay off due to the bad weather the under 16s returned where a performance of clinical finishing was witnessed.

 

The home side dominated large spells of the first half and a fine hat trick from Jacob Leighton and a brace from Matt Brennan gave the Young Crows a 5-0 half time lead.

 

To their credit Stortford gave a more flourishing second half perfromance and the game was far more open and evenly balanced.

 

The visitors reduced the arrears early on and also hit the crossbar but Royston again began to take a foothold and create their own openings.

 

Owen Bentley hit the crossbar from a header and Matt Brennan had a headed goal disallowed but fine finishes from Bentley (2), Jordan Hall and Jake Booth gave the team a fine victory
