There was no complacency from the under 16s after their cup final victory on Sunday and they produced another impressive footballing performance to comfortably beat Wymondley on Wednesday evening. Two more wins from their remaining four games will see them get runners up but four victories could see them take top spot but they must rely on Fairlands dropping points.

It was a good night for Jordan who notched four goals. The first two of these came in the opening six minutes, the first a close range angled finish from Owen's good work the second a cracking 16 yard left footed half volley a fitting way to score the side's 100th league goal.

Wymondley then came into the game well and it was pretty even with both teams creating a few chances but unable to add to the scoreline. Just before half time Jacob raced onto a long clearance to convert with a crisp 12 yard strike.

The second half was completely dominated by Royston who really got into top gear with their passing game. Ellis scored a cracking fourth goal with a left footed 16 yard strike into the top corner and Mitchell headed in Micael's corner soon after.

The visiting keeper did well with a few good saves but could do nothing when Jordan powerfully headedn Ellis's right wing cross. The same player completed the scoring late on with his side's seventh goal following up Jake's saved effort.
