Celtic finally got a second league win under their belt 2 months after the first, having had a series of draws, postponements and one abandoned match in between, but not before the visitors had given them a severe fright.

 

The home side had the better of the early exchanges but Spartan got back into the match and it required a save from Celtic keeper Sam R either side of the home side's goal from Alfie N on 25 minutes to ensure that they took the lead. However, Spartan kept up their attacks and equalised on 33 minutes.

 

At the start of the second half the home defence suddenly looked very vulnerable and the visitors took the lead after 44 minutes and came close to going 3-1 up soon after. Gradually Celtic fought back and Joe M levelled matters on 57 minutes after collecting the ball and firing past the keeper. It was now looking a very open game with both sides creating chances but Celtic exerted more pressure towards the end and Troy fired the ball home with just 3 minutes left.
