This was a great yet gritty game which sprang into life in the second half following a tight and even opening in which both teams created chances.

 

Celtic just appeared to be getting the upper hand at the start of the second half and took the lead after 53 minutes when Troy smashed the ball into the net when following up an earlier shot.  Stotfold hit back immediately by winning a corner from which a Celtic player miskicked his clearance into his own net on 54 minutes.

 

The home side roared back into the attack and in the very next minute Ben R smashed an unstoppable shot into the net from just outside the right hand edge of the penalty area. It took Stotfold all of 2 minutes to match that with a flowing move which resulted in a very cool finish to draw the visitors level on 57 minutes. Robbie won man-of-the-match for his performance in both full back positions and towards the end Celtic keeper Sam R prevented the visitors stealing the points with a fine fingertip save.
