First pre season of the season and we welcome
We had thirteen to chose from and we would try three different formations and we were looking for a ninety minute performance hoping that the hard work the boys have but in pre season would serve them well.
We would play three 30 minute halves and line up 4 4 2 for the first one. All the signs were good we looked sharp and bright and our passing and movement was good, we were 3-0 up after the first 30 minutes scoring some good goals.
For the second 30 minutes we changed to a 4 3 3 formation and this is when we played our best football of the day which included a 25 yard thunderbolt from Richard and a great team goal which was converted by Jack O after some great one touch football, we were 7-0 up at the end of the period.
For the last 30 minutes we played 4 4 1 1 and this was an important last thirty for me as I was looking for the same intensity as we had played throughout. We did play at a high level although the pace we played at did slightly drop but when the match finished and we had won 9-0.
The game was played in a good sprit and Wratting showed real determination during the whole game.
Plenty for us to be pleased about today but also plenty to work on and I know that this group will continue to work as hard on improving there performance as they always do.
