Royston's good form continued with a narrow victory in an entertaining game. Both teams put much into the game and there were close misses and good goalkeeping from both sides, Owen contributing greatly to his team's performance.

 

Royston had the better of the first half shooting down the slope and had obe goal to show for their efforts, 16 year old Anthony on debut runnng onto a through ball and scoring.

 

Baldock applied the pressure in the second half but Royston defended superbly and got a break away goal with four minutes remaining with Anthony again racing clear to score. Straight from kick off Baldock replied with a close range tap in but it was Royston that held on and they climb to the top of the table after nine games
