Royston Town Vets shared the spoils with a 1-1 draw away to Eaton Socon Vets in a Cambs FA Vets League 1 match on Sunday.

In a closely-fought match between two well-matched teams a lot of the play was in the middle third.

The hosts went ahead early in the second half but Town deservedly equalised with a well-taken goal from Jon Armstrong.

Michael Baker and Rob Chandler were outstanding at the heart of the defence for Town. There were also significant contributions from Dean Usher in midfield and Steve McGee and Jon Armstrong up front.

The Vets are without a game next Sunday.
