Town's 2nd string had the perfect start to the season with this demolition of Holmer Green at home on Saturday.

Town took the lead after just 31 seconds, the impressive RHYS HOENESS following in and slotting home a poor back pass. With several players making their debuts and the oldest home player a mere 24 years old the pace of this game was always fast with a quick tempo. BRINSLEY BAILEY and LEE BATES combined well and grabbed 3 more goals between them to effectively finish the game as a contest before half time.

BATES grabbed a 2nd for him and a 5th for the team a minute after the restart and BAILEY completed his hatrick soon after. A fine individual goal from the rapidly maturing HOENESS soon followed and BATES completed his hatrick with a fine chipped goal before the scoring was completed by the popular LANRE ADEBIYI who headed home a deep corner.

Assistant Manager ADAM SMITH was quick to praise the team's efforts: " We are well aware there will be sterner tests for us, but the lads shifted the ball well today and showed a cutting edge too."

The ressies are at home next week to newly promoted Risborogh Rangers.
