HARRY DRAPER JOINS ON LOAN!

Royston Town are pleased to announce the loan signing of Stevenage FC forward, Harry Draper.

The 6’3″ 20-year-old Stevenage FC Academy graduate joins the Crows on loan until January 2022. Harry joined the Stevenage Academy as an Under 8 and was the first Stevenage-born Academy product to progress right through the system and sign a professional contract with the club.

He has previously had loan spells with Stratford Town, Biggleswade Town and Great Yarmouth as well as Hitchin Town.

Harry has featured in a number of Stevenage’s pre-season games – scoring against both Hitchin Town and St Albans City.

Steve Castle believes that Draper has the potential to make a massive difference to the Crows this season and will provide competition upfront.

The Gaffer commented “We tried to get him on a loan last year, but the pandemic prevented that but this year we’ve managed to get him, and we’re very pleased that we have. You can never have enough goalpower, strength and guile up top, and I hope that’s what Harry’s going to bring to us. He’s an excellent footballer but has been unfortunate with injuries. He went on loan to Hitchin and really excelled there, and they were desperate to have him back. I’m sure he’ll make a massive difference in our upcoming campaign.”

Welcome to Garden Walk Harry!
