Positive Outcome

Hi!

A hard fought game at Garden Walk with us defeating Fleet Town by 2 goals to 0.

Yet again not a classic match from our perspective, we didn’t have the quality in the final third that we produced last Saturday but a great response from Wednesday’s dismal show so a positive outcome from the week.

Plenty of character shown by us which was very pleasing and some special praise for Martel Powell and Ryan Towner who did extremely well both for differing reasons. Martel has had to be very patient in getting another opportunity in the starting line up. Not a single moan or negative gestures from him, a highly talented player but sometimes lacked the “Battling” qualities needed in this league. Not today! He regained the ball on so many occasions and when won he kept it fantastically in my opinion.

Towns for slotting into an unfamiliar role at right back and making it look like he had played there for several seasons.

So onto Tuesday and a top v 2nd tie against Farnborough at home. These are the type of matches that everyone should be excited about. Farnborough will want to win to gain ground on us and we obviously want to extend the points total between the two sides. We have Scott Bridges back available to us which is a bonus but all of our lads will have to be “At it” to gain a result we want.
Hopefully see you all Tuesday?

We need your support!!

Cheers,
SC
