This Week’s Events

Hi.

A time of up and downs to report over the last week. Firstly a great evening at Oxford City on Monday night where our youth lads did us all proud by progressing through to the Fourth Round of the FA Youth Cup!!

Plenty of us made the journey and we were not disappointed by the boys. I thought they were superb. To a player they played with no fear and quickly took the upper hand against a very big, physical Oxford team. The only thing Liam could have been a little disappointed with at half time was the fact we hadn't scored more than the one goal to kill the game off. Oxford came back into the game second half, equalised and arguably shaded the play but our battling heroes kept going and to have 'Captain Marvel' Connor Kilgalion score to put us back in front was brilliant! Perry …. sealing the victory with another great effort.

Well done lads!! absolutely fantastic!!

Unfortunately onto Tuesday and the First Team. We were playing in the Red Insure cup, in the last 16. Playing Corby Town at home. We kept the team strong but used lads that haven't been getting as many minutes lately. To summarise the game up it was a game of us missing chances! We created enough but couldn't finish! From as early as the first minute we had opportunities.

I can tell you the lads are very frustrated with the recent results and are determined to get back on track!! Hard work and everyone staying together are key. A good team which we are do not become bad overnight!

Here's to a start on Saturday.

Cheers,
SC
